The idea

Not a workout. Not a rally. Just a scream.

A scream club is exactly what it sounds like: a small group of people who show up at the same place, at the same time, and scream — into the wind, off a pier, into a treeline. No instructor, no agenda, no explanation required afterward.

It started as one person's idea for a community event in Bedford, Nova Scotia: a way to shake off the week, meet the neighbours, and do something a little absurd on purpose. It worked.

Canada Scream Club exists to help that happen in more places — with a name, a look, and a founder (that's me) who'll help you get your own chapter off the ground.

How a session runs

Three steps. Ten minutes. That's the whole club.

Show up

Same spot, same time, once a week or once a month — whatever your group agrees on. A pier, a park, a parking lot facing the water. Anywhere outdoors works.

Count down

Someone counts down from ten. It's the only structure the club needs — it turns a crowd of strangers into one group about to do something together.

Scream

Everyone screams, for as long as feels right. Then — almost always — everyone laughs. That's the part people come back for.
